Frequently asked questions

How accurate is LiDAR?

Our DJI Zenmuse L1 achieves ±3 cm vertical RMSE under standard conditions. Every flight is validated against physical ground control points (GCPs), and accuracy statistics are published in the survey report. For engineering-grade work requiring better than ±2 cm, we add additional GCPs and extended post-processing.

What is the turnaround time?

Standard delivery is 24 hours after flight completion. For large projects (500+ ha) we quote 48–72 hours. Rush same-day delivery is available for an additional fee. You receive a download link via email and your client portal the moment processing is complete.

What file formats are included?

Every survey includes: LAZ point cloud, GeoTIFF DEM/DSM/DTM, GeoTIFF orthomosaic, DXF/SHP contour lines at 1 m and 5 m intervals, and a georeferenced intensity raster. The survey report PDF is generated automatically. If you need a specific format (e.g. LAS 1.4, DWG, AutoCAD Civil 3D) just let us know when booking.

Can you fly in rainy or cloudy conditions?

LiDAR is active sensing — it works through overcast skies unlike photogrammetry. We cannot fly in rain or high winds (>10 m/s). We monitor weather using Open-Meteo forecasts and will reschedule at no cost if conditions are unsafe on the planned date.
